Hi all sorry I'm really confused with this clean air charge, what happens if travelling through different zones in one day, do have to pay more than one fee for that day or is it just one fee per day?

Thank you it's so confusing.
Not confusing at all in y opinion. Each Clean air zone is a separate entity so you have to pay for each you enter if your vehicle enters without the correct emission standard. My Euro 4 cannot go in to Birmingham even though I am resident within the Birmingham City Council area unless i am prepared to pay

If you mean in Europe then one sticker usually covers all cities in a country for the life of the vehicle (Umveltplakette, Crit' Air) and costs about a fiver. In the UK every zone will charge separately and costs are typically between £10 & £100 per day depending on your vehicle type, weight Euro emissions class CO2 emissions etc... You pay for each day you get picked up on the ANPR camera systems that have been or are being installed everywhere.

Only solution is to avoid cities. Not much use if you live in one though.
Unfortunately this doesn't work for Greater Manchester where only a few major roads will be exempt if/when it finally arrives so much of the urban parts of north west of England will be no go for heavier mohos.
