SOLD Classic camper refurb project (1 Viewer)

Talbot Merlin, 4 berth (1 double, 2 single). Only 40,000 miles. 2 litre Peugeot engine. Firstly van needs a good clean. Tyres OK, engine runs quite smoothly, new brake pipes, new battery. Needs approx £600 spent for MOT (main issue rusty coolant pipe onto engine block). Also habitation heater doesn't work, toilet doesn't flush. Roof leak has been repaired, but roof lining needs sorting, possibly further work necessary. Price negotiable but in the hundreds not thousands. Can be viewed near Ashburton, Devon.

You need to give a weight, that can be a killer for some buyers.

40K miles on a proper job old diesel, might need a big service in another 200K miles.

Now where is someone with a sense of adventure, form an orderly queue.

Don't know the weight, it's not over the 3.5 ton for sure. This van is my son's, he does not have the sort of spare time that sorting this would require. If anyone is interested I will put them in contact. I think it is a great project for someone either as a hobby, an enthusiast, or someone who wants a cheap camper.

Yeh but for the cost of a alloy spare wheel on some of the gin palaces on here he'll have a ball, that's a substantial van.

And you/he will be able to have any layout you feel like, within reason.

Pressure was a choich bult never brush scrub and rince off but I won't be tuching the thing till it's through the Mot bill

Just a bit of trim, I don't think they do anything. I have never had one but my uncle did and ran it for years. I preferred the layout of the very similar Excalibur.

unfortunately its a petrol but for 400/500 i can ether convert to 2.8iTD or Auto gas it for abut the same money
