classes on motorway tolls (1 Viewer)

Our sat nav took us on a motorway in Spain with tolls even though we programmed it not to but anyway the question is, we went through and the toll said we were class 4.
We are 3.5t and 22 foot long 2.95 high so what should we have been?

We are similar size and are only ever charged as class 2

Not sure about Spain, but in France you are Class 2.

Even if you are not Class 2, "Bonjeur Monseuir/Madam, Nous Somme's une camping car" usually gets you through a Peage as Class 2!:thumb:

I don't know the answer, but when we last went to Spain in a 7.5m 3.7T MH at 2 manned booths they came outside and looked underneath, I presume to count axles?? we had 2

Can't remember what class we were though sorry

Our Autotrail as its a bit tall is charged either class 2 or 3.

We are currently in France at the moment heading home. In the last few days we have used toll motorways in both Spain and France and have been charged Class 2 every single time. We are an 8.5m tag axle low profile M/H under 3m. With bikes on the back we are nearly 9m long. Personally I think it's calculated on height as the ticket always comes out of the top part of the machine whereas the ticket appears in the lower slot for cars:thumb:
