I have a Fiat Ducato based Chausson which has a set of 215/70 R15 CP 109R tyres.

Can any one clarify the significance of the R in a load rating of 109R and P in the CP speed rating?

Would a tyre rated just 109 and C be good enough.

R is for the construction (Radial)

C is for the tyre use (C- commercial)

P is the speed rating (P-93mph)

Thanks for info

I have had this from a tyre supplier which adds a bit more to the posts you have sent

The CP rating is specialist camping tyres that are made only by Continental and Michelin.
