Citroen relay 2.2 hdi 2013 wont start

Hi, I've got a 2023 citroen relay 2.2 hdi and its got some starting issue. It definitely has power, you go to start it and it's just one click, no crank. Yesterday it would start as normal after continuing to try it say 10-15 times. Today its much worse but still turns over as normal eventually. I've reset the bsi to no avail. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to start changing parts unnecessarily.

You need someone to keep the key held in the start position while you give the starter motor a gentle tap with a hammer if it starts then it’s your starter motor that needs changing

Take it back as it is less than 2 months old.

Didn't realise it was brand new

If it's brand new the supplying dealer needs to sort it for you
