Both sockets died. I found the dead 15 amp fuse, changed it and now the aux socket is working but the lighter socket still won't supply power.... They're about 1 foot apart on the lower front dash below the heating.

Any ideas why the lighter still won't work?

Different fuses.
generally........fag lighter socket is rated at 10 amps (120watts) and aux socket is rated at 15amps (180watts)

check all fuses with a multimeter......never rely on a visual inspection.

I'm having the same problem with the ciggy lighter socket on my 2005 Fiat Ducato. I'm confused about which fuse to check. My manual CD says F44, but elsewhere there is discussion that this is wrong and it's F52. Either way I can't see any marking on the fuse box and I can't make head nor tail of the diagram on the back of the plastic cover. I don't fancy pulling them all out to find the culprit. Can someone point me to the ciggy lighter fuse in this photo please?

There's only 4 x 15a and 4 x 10a fuses....pull them one at a time, starting with the 10amp ones, and test.
Certainly wont do any harm to anything by pulling them.

There are different fuse boxes. My fag lighter fuse is under the bonnet - but different models have them in different places I think.
