Hello all
In our Bailey 620 Approach (Peugeot Boxer base) there is a 12v cigar lighter. We intend to use this socket to run our satnav, dashcam and possibly a 12v charger for our iPad or iPhone.

I obviously do not want to 'over charge' the socket. But I can't find, in the manual, the maximum ampage for this socket. The multi socket adaptor that we have isn't fused and I will look around for an alternative, fused multi-socket.

I would however like to know the likely maximum capacity of the socket.

Many thanks.

More than toes wet now!
Have you checked in the fuse section of the manual?
Yours will be a Peugeot however our Ducato manual says 10A.

You may be just as well installing an extra couple of fused sockets, in all likelihood you'll find a use for them in the future.

Cig sockets are rated at 120w....10amps.
Same design auxiliary sockets are rated 180w...15amps.
No visible difference in appearance that I know of.

Thank you all for replying. Didn't think to look at the fuse page of the manual but as stated by two of you it's 10A.
@WillH-not sure what would be involved in fitting new fused sockets. However 10A should be fine for our purposes. Also, as pappajohn said there is also an auxiliary socket at 180w so we're covered. I hope.
The connector plug however, doesn't fit all that snugly, in either the cigar or the auxiliary socket. Might look out for a replacement plug and put a 10A fast-blow fuse in line.
Thanks all.
