I'm a newbie
Hi there. Does anybody know of a window replacement specialist. The rear window on my 2006 Carioca has blown off when crossing a bridge. The window was open on its catches and flew off from the rear of the vehicle.

Cheers

Jim

O'leary's seem to carry lots of various windows. A firm called ExhaustEjector can make you a copy from the original, which you unfortunately don't have now, unless there is another one on the van the same size that they could use as a pattern, not cheap at 2 to 3 hundred quid though.

we lost a window a few years ago , claimed on windscreen insurance , about £60 excess then. no loss of no claims. I sourced the window and the A.A came and fitted it.

Used this fella several times , always excellent service, you might have to wait a couple or three or so weeks, but he delivers.

Hi folks many thanks for replies, I never thought to contact insurance, will give it a try. Have phoned Geoff cox but their window specialist is on holiday until 25th August. Funnily enough he is on holiday in Edinburgh not far from where the window blew off . He might see my window floating by on the Forth.

Cheers

Have you tried a caravan breaker? There are sites few around.

We lost our nearside over-cab window on our 656 last month.
Still trying to source one.
If it helps....the rear top bunk and side bottom bunk windows and the over-cab windows are all the same size.
Had a quote from (EECO) ExhaustEjecto and it was £183.00 plus £36.00 return carriage* plus vat, total £262.80.
In addition they will have to supply their window hinge and body hinge as CI wont supply replacement hinge bars for the windows, so it will look slightly different from the rest.
Im still trying to source one second hand but am having no luck.

Hi, we followed same route with no success until we found EECO. Close to home for us( 8 miles ). Great service but they had no mould so we had to pay for a mould to be made. Our broken window was for the bathroom. Would recommend their service and product. Good luck. Rex
