Looking to use abroard with Vodafone 100gb deal on a mifi. Would also prefer it if it didn't need mains power.

Hi can,t says which is best but we use a Fire Stick which we power by USB on the TV if that helps

We used a firestick with Netflix installed and vodafone 100gb worked great all over France and Spain

Hi we have also have Netflix, Prime and Virgin TV to Go on the fire stick so its like watching TV at Home when we are away

At home we've got a Chromecast, Firestick and NowTV box.

I tend to sit on the sofa and use my phone as the controller and watch Netflix and YouTube. I tend to use the Chromecast as it's a bit faster and easier if you are just finding random stuff. My wife tends to binge-watch a series and prefers to use the remote. She watches Netflix, iPlayer and Channel4, so she prefers the NowTV box.

The Firestick only ever gets used for shows that stream from Amazon. I guess that's because it pushes Amazon content down your throat and the other players are a bit deeper in the menus.

We use Chrome cast at home (don't have TV in the moho).

It works very well, but our one requires 230v.

It just has a micro USB or a USB-C connector on it (depending on the model). USB power from the TV will do fine.

Another vote for firestick, usb into the tv. It’s very easy to use, we have Netflix and all the uk catch up channels. Use it with Vodafone 100gbs, and we have just the same as at home. Have the tune in app on it, & use it for the radio too. I have a chromecast at home, but still use a firestick on the tv (even tho it’s a smart tv) just because it’s so easy to use!

Gave up with a Firestick, did have a Now TV box but they are useless as they are owned by Sky there are loads of apps they won't let you load. Now use an H96 Max Plus Android TV box with 64GB of memory & it takes SD cards.
