Bah Humbug but I'm with you. We have spent the morning and early afternoon washing the moho getting ready for the off in Jan. Cooked a Xmas dinner for the two of us later in the day.

I used to that called at me a lot, when I socialised, and scrounge and eey ore.
Just find buying tat that nobody wants a waste of money, and laughing at shitty dad jokes is not funny, and as for crap on TV.
Grumpy old man ( apparently)
But she did get a new posh sewing machine out of me for her Christmas 🎁. So not that scrougey then eh !.

We also had a great day even though the 3 children are all grown up they were excited to be home all together plus one lovely girlfriend. Great food although I do say so myself! Lovely presents, we even had the boardgame Taskmaster which made for a couple of hours of hilarious fun and we’re only on round 2.

A more relaxing day today and then Christmas Mark2 with my sister and her family tomorrow when we will do it all again, we just love it:giggle:

We had nine yesterday my daughter and husband, niece husband and their two young ones 3 and 5 and the 96year old mother. It was the first year for a long time that we had young children on Xmas day and it was a delight, but very hard work for the cook (me). Only 7 today. Buffet lunch.
Years ago we always had our parents, now it seems to be role reversal. Next year I think we will be away!!

We didn't really do Christmas this year, our daughter is working so we took FIL for a walk and a drink then went home and had some snacks. We're having a roast duck today instead, just the 4 of us, well if we count the 2 dogs 😀😀

camping and caravanning since a kid. New to motorhomes
after last couple of years where Denise’s daughter doesn’t bother coming over and her son might turn up for Christmas dinner but that depends on how hung over he is from being out on Christmas Eve, both of which are in their 30’s and single. Also, my son who is 29 who does turn up for Christmas dinner but is then in a hurry to get away to meet up with his single mates too.

We decided to come away to the sun for Christmas for us. Which we have done.

Had a lovely late full English, which I cooked for my good lady and we enjoyed it outside in the sun.

Still I did feel guilty about leaving the kids though. But the sun and some champagne softened the blow 🥳🥳

Our Christmas Day spent at home for the first time in 5 years with Daughter and one grandchild, a good day with plenty of grub and a little booze, as usual daughter had ‘forgotten’ our presents must have left them at home, so it will be up to us to go and collect them again!
As the man who doesn’t need anything (?) I got a jar of Chutney and a pair of fleecy PJs for the van, oh, and a fantastic book on the rainforests of the UK which I bought myself, looking for locations to photograph.
Forgot to mention, all the ’pigs in blankets’ were left in the fridge so we are having them today for breakfast 👏👏👏

It's Janette that tells the shitty dad's jokes and then has to explain some of them to me so I understand it. It's far to complicated for me.
As for the sewing machine, it would not surprise me, we have now got the power to run it. Just need the van working now.

We always used to be away at Christmas and had some great ones, but young grandchildren brought the real magic back and a home Christmas is a wonderful thing. Having a browse through our pictures and I came across this from India in 2012. Father Christmas in an England shirt!

It’s hard work but we enjoyed it - just mum (now 90) and we had son here. Daughter and boyfriend were here part of day but we’re meant to be having Christmas lunch with his family in a restaurant. Sadly his dad wasn’t well enough to go and ended up hospitalised again last night (lung and heart problems following Covid months ago) so they were there most of the night.
Take 2 again today with daughter - think boyfriend will either go to his mums or to the hospital.
Funny old day - my friend’s mum died 7am yesterday morning too having hung on for over a month after she was given 24 hours to live.

We had exactly the same Christmas with 3 year old granddaughter and waited on so we could just relax. DIL cooked way too much food but we had a lovely time but it’s great to be home with peace and quiet and adult tv instead of Children’s programs ( there are only so many times you can watch Frozen)
Today we are having a small turkey breast dinner for just the two of us

Had a lovely time, A mix of Daughter and Husband, MiL, Son, friends over Christmas eve, day and boxing.

Played at midnight mass Christmas Eve.

Church at 10 am Christmas morning.

Family and friends for Christmas Lunch, All around to other friends for tea as it was one of their birthday on Christmas day (that must be rubbish!)

Mil was a bit of a pain but she's 94 so mustn't complain. She wont be around too much longer I don't imagine.

Oh and we had a guest dog too. Looking after her for a medical assistant dogs charity

I really couldn't imagine spending Christmas in a motorhome cold or hot.
