@Jim and @Sian,

What a great Christmas surprise for you Sian. :xThumb: Were you in on the act from the start Jim? :xwink:

Not as spectacular as young Jame's stunt, but I went home on leave once, arriving on Mother's Day. I arranged with my father to take mother out for their regular walk along the shore, and Sunday breakfast. In the meantime, I had travelled up to Scotland through the early hours, having pre-arranged to collect a large bouquet from the florist @ 09.30, and get in the house before mother returned.
I hid in a walk in cupboard in the kitchen, that I knew she would have to enter when she got home.
When she got in, she saw the bouquet laid out on the kitchen worktop, and was really concerned that a stranger (florist delivery driver possibly :xwink: ) had gained access to the house, and went on to scold my father for leaving the door open. :xrofl:

Hearing that he was having a hard time of it, I exited the cupboard to receive a hail of hugs and kisses from mother. I still got told off for frightening the life out of her though. :xrofl:

Have a great Christmas in the sun together, (wish we could be there too), and have a Happy New Year.

All the very best You Broons, :xThumb:

Jock & Rita. :xsmile:

Christmas remembered....

Just out doing food/drink shopping and told wife Jim's story and she reminded me of one of ours. We were on the west coast and went to Vegas for the Christmas. As we where heading back to coast next day, in my wisdom:coffee: decided to drive to Grand canyon Christmas morning.

It was a 4 hr drive, got there did the sites, it was snowing there so seasonal:) but the drive back was 6 hr nightmare. Tried to get into a few buffets for Christmas diner but ques impossible.. Ended up exhausted in Mc Donalds for Christmas dinner..that kids where quite happy with this:xgrin:

any more Christmas stories?
