Good evening funsters. I Just thought I’d ask. We’re looking for somewhere to go for Christmas. Wife, me and dog somewhere which has restaurant or local walking distance pub, EHU from around December 21/22 to 26/27 not really that bothered on exact dates but through Christmas period. Don’t mind where just wanted to benefit from your recommendations?
Thanks in advance 👍

Take a look at Whitemead country park.
Indoor pool, steam room, sauna, gym if you are desperate. Great forest walks and cycling.
Bar and food, great pub 250 meter’s away.

Whitemead Forest park??
Thanks Phil, looked at their Christmas events etc. Yep lovely site with lots to do however more family oriented than what we’re looking for, meeting Santa and Dick Whittington aren’t at the top of my Christmas list.

Riverside caravan park Plymouth. Park & ride into Plymouth plus Xmas market
Pub nearby by plus great walking for dogs
Much cheaper that Ayr St Ivys!

Ayr Holiday Park, St Ives, Cornwall.

New Years Eve is pretty spectacular in the town too.
Over 20k descend down there New Year’s Eve - can’t get in pubs, can’t move, not for the faint hearted 🤔😉

You don’t have to visit Santa in his grotto 😁
We did Christmas there pre covid and avoided Santa and Dick Whittington 😂

Don't forget most places offering Festive meals are expensive and usually have to be booked up well in advance.

Well despite me saying I didn’t want to see dick at Christmas my wife decided she did. So we’ve booked Christmas at Whitemead Forest park. Thanks for all the other suggestions and in particular Phill D and wyliecyotee .

Apart from the hook up you could get all that at gravelines and even a Christmas market on. (y) :giggle: for £4 a night.
