One daughter working for a popular restaurant chain and in charge of their Christmas offering, the other working in retail, neither live close to our home. What chance do we have of a relaxed family Christmas? We'll be lucky to see them for half of Christmas Day.

I love Christmas.

It's a time I really enjoy being a Dad.

Little beaming excited faces opening their presents ...at 4am:mad:

......and the best bit is you get to hear the finest Christmas Song of all time........

It wears a bit thin though when you hear it for the 500th time.

We get our favourite film " Elf" on every year in December.

Then Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve

Not that we are creatures of habit or anything:D

Hubby's birthday on the 18th as well, I'm on the 6th so usually put tree up about that time.
I love this time of year usually put up a couple of trees and making present plans at the moment.
I can't imagine not being excited about xmas.
5 years ago I had a huge cancer op on my 60th birthday so had tree decorated, cards written and pressies bought a few weeks before, I was discharged on 17th and was still excited about xmas even although I could only eat mashed potato, mushy peas and gravy and trifle for dessert. Think it was my best xmas, it meant more. Roll on many more.
Now ..... That is one hell of a way to celebrate Xmas.... well done you.

It's only GB that goes over the top at Christmas, people start getting stressed out months before.
I must admit to having some solo powered lights, that might see the light of day, where ever I am at Christmas??
As for presents, well what do you give to grand children these days, money money money.
