any suggestions on sites for christmas or new year please?
Would like somewhere that we can get a meal and stroll around if possible.

Last year we stayed at Keswick for Christmas and moved to Moffat in Scotland for new year

That sounds good but being new to motorhoming not sure about driving in bad weather yet.
We towed a caravan for 40 years but with a 4x4 so did not worry about getting stuck

Both sites are close to main roads and towns which are gritted etc. As they are open all year they will have contingencies for keeping the sites open.

Plus, if they don't, carry your own contingencies. Plenty of wine, beer, favourite tipple and an extra bag or two of crisps.

This year we are at Bristols baltic wharf site for Xmas then cirencester for new year
