Hi Jinxia my wife, has managed to make contact with the Chinese motorhomers that @bobandjanie mentioned seeing at Lake Bled,we are hoping to meet up with some of them when they come over to the U.K.
Its early days yet but will let the forum know, if people are interested in there Adventures and hopefully some pics as well.
To be able to travel like this for the chinese is some achievement considering there strict Regime and rules but things are changing even in this highly controlled Country.(y)

I see they are building Motorhome parking places in 5 of the national parks, won't have to fly to visit daughter. Could take a long time to get there if I amble along only doing 50-100 miles a day.:D2

Wonder if you could send a Motorhome to China on the new train service they are starting, the Silk Something I think it's called takes about a week to complete the journey.

Hi @dpsuk999 that could well be the same group, they started as a group travelling together, but seem to have split up on arriving in Europe.
We are currently talking to a couple from the original group that are now in the U.K. Lake District.

But could be an interesting exercise?

Two years ago we were on a tour of China and went to the panda sanctuary at Chengdu. In the car park there were two German registered Motorhomes parked, but no one was in. Unfortunately they had left by the time we came out, so I didn't get a chance to ask how they got there.

I don't know what route they took to get there, but they had some how

Cheers

Trevor

There were quite a few Asians in rented motorhomes in New Zealand. They do seem to be the growing numbers in tourism these days.

Wow amazing journeys, very inspirational.

Can't imagine how many electrical and gas adaptors they needed.....
