Great idea I've never seen before

It looks like a great idea, but what do you do with all the stuff that is stored on the shelves in the cupboard when you want to use it as a table !?

It's different and the engineering for it is great but ... why not just have a drop down door so the shelves stay put, that way you don't have to move stuff off the 'table' top ... or is that not 'clever' enough for a tiny house?
