Hmmmm let's think, zero feedback, no address, listed "for a friend" as are all the other motorhomes he has listed and they are all cheap..... Alarm bells? You bet!

Reported.

He seems to have a lot of friends!
All I looked at say "listed for a friend. thanks for looking....any questions via ebay/leave your mobile and i will pass it on to him"
Looks like def scams all of them.

It's a 2000 model and there is no way it's only worth that. You might pay that amount for one around 1985 to 1990. Our old van was 1995 and that sold for £11,000.

Duly reported and I urge others to do the same before some poor sod gets taken in and has a very UNhappy krimble

Done ( and the same with other listings). I'd hate anyone to be conned - especially as my son is looking and hasn't got a clue about prices. Luckily he does ask for advice and is at the "just looking" stage at present.

I just can't understand how you can get 2 pages of scam ads , tractors, diggers, cars , mhomes etc. They are all genuine vehicles normally that someone has for sale & he's 'stolen' the details/photos. Hopefully no one gets conned.

Cheapest Hymer B524 on mobile.de with 120,000 km on clock €21,700

Here is one of his other items:

Something not right I agree but fail to see where the scam is.. they are classified ads so you view and arrange payment just like you would on autotrader etc. There's no deposit asked for or expected etc etc. What does the seller stand to gain?

It appears there are 2 of em, so it must be a buy one get one free offer :giggle:

Have report to Ebay, but interesting to note that the sellers name has changed from almo-erda ( which was used for 4 weeks) to saint727 as of 1st December.

Yes it is a scam & is quite common on the car forums. I have read how it pans out ,just can't remember ?? :(

Believe me its a sophisticated scam. For further advice go to Legal Beagals Consumer Forum and you'll find that certain members are fully aware of whats happening on ebay, Gumtree, and Autotrader. In fact its an epidemic as there are hundreds of such scams every single day mostly run by East European shysters AND some poor sods/victims have lost thousands of pounds

Almost forgot they're also hijacking dealers own sites to make themselves look legit
