Hi.. youer saying the drain valve is still leaking water , but if you are still have sufficient water in the tank, the pulsing pump will have nothing to do with the leaking drain valve...
You will have to try and flush the valve by opening and closing it to see if you can shut it fully...
The pump may just need all the various outlets opened and allowed to run until you get a steady stream of water with no splutters of air coming through...
Thats what id be trying first..
Andy..

Thanks Andy think the drain valve isn't sealing properly because it stops when I turn the pump off I'll try what you said

If you have a Frost Stat it could be that thats not turned off. Depends on type. Ours you turn the lever on top to reset it then there is a blue button that you have to press in near the base of the unit. I cannot see ours so have to do it by feel.

Without a photo hard to say..
What sort of pipe is the drain valve on
Mine is on 12mm semi rigid pipe...
You can get push fit fittings ... might be just as easy to buy another valve and fit it on yourself if its on 12mm pipe..
Andy.
An after thought when you mentioned a spring clip...
Im wondering if you are looking at a spring loaded valve similar to a boiler dump valve chausson fit to take the tank to a minimum contents for travel... but that doesnt drain the tank completely...

Still trying to upload the photo but it's definitely the spring loaded boiler dump valve because shows mini and maxi levels on van but no one explained that to me when I brought the van but it's that what is leaking

It’s the fresh water tank valve that empties the fresh tank to 20litres for travelling( on ours)
Your boiler tank valve will probably be very close to your hot water boiler , under a seat . Ours is the same design as the fresh water valve , but smaller.

As said above thats the valve that drains the tank to a min level for travelling.. it wont empty the tank completely when you drain down for winter ..there will be another fw tank drain valve for that purpose.
I see its fitted on the corrugated waste type hose...
If it cant be stopped dripping id just replace it with a stop cock type calve that fits the existing pipe.

Hi, I am having the fitting I photographed changed in a few weeks. Does anyone know if there is a simple freshwater drain valve on the Chausson 711 Welcome Traveline. I think the pictured valves are for traveling with half or full tank and there is a stop end under the van directly below the freshwater tank. The online Chausson Manual says to run the taps to empty system but surely there is some sort of valve to drop water in winter. my last van a Bessacarr had a bung at the bottom of the tank which you simply removed.Any help would be great as the dealer didn't explain this when I bought the van

Saw fitter at dealership yesterday have to remove the push fit stop end under the van to completely empty the fresh water tank. Do it quickly or you'll get wet!

As was said earlier.. just get a push fit inline stop valve and replace the blanking plug with that... it saves messing with a push fit fitting trying to remove the plug..
Andy.

Extend the pipe while you are there then.... you would just need a short length pipe and a inline push fit connector in addition to the stop valve..(y)

I just leave the tap open in the MH soon drains down the tank. I also have a strange arrangement with two valves inside the tank for draining. One down to 20 Lts the other drains completely but when you start filling they leak so don't bother. The Pilote we had used a rubber bung in the bottom of the tank but you had to put your hand in the tank and find the bung on a piece of chain and pull. Swift Bolero had an external plastic tap that leaked so used a bottle cork up the end to stop it.
