I'm a newbie
Hi - our new Chausson 720 comes with a sat nav built in to the central console which included radio / reversing camera etc. The dealer is currently waiting for the arrival of the sat nav card so at the moment we don’t know anything about this sat nav

Does anyone have a new(ish) Chausson and have any experience of the sat nav? Can you put in the vehicle size?

Or should we buy an alternative eg Garmin Camper?

Thanks 😊

Do you mean the ‘map card’ when you say ‘sat nav card’, and is your Chausson on a Fiat base……?

Hi - it might be the map card? It’s a Ford based Chausson

The dealer said it is the “Sat Nav SD card” that we are waiting for, that apparently slots into the side of the console on the dash. The original Ford radio has been replaced with this bespoke Chausson model which combines the radio, reversing camera and apparently a sat nav

Can’t find any details of the Chausson sat nav - it may be worth asking the dealer if the vehicle dimensions can be input - they couldn’t on older models afaik, but you may be able to now…….?

I'm yet to find a manufacturers sat nav that any where near google maps

I’ve got the same, I think.
Is it an Xzent unit.
I can input vehicle by class, for instance, Motorhome over 3.5 tonne.
The system takes a bit of finding your way around but I find it to be good.
If I can help with specifics once you get the card, just shout

My chausson sat nav is in her lates 50s and does a lot more than directions :-)

Yes. But can you switch her off when not needed ?
Ah .. erm . Not found that button . But a few vodkas tends to reboot her at the end of the evening :-)

Hi, I am on my 3rd replacement unit. Previous ones would reset back to factory settings each time we stopped for at least 5 minutes. Choose lanquage etc. The latest one whilst slow to react from turn off has recified this issue. Interestingly I can see the screen whilst wearing my sunglasses with this latest unit so possible change to screen type. We run ours on the 3.5 ton -7 ton setting with the odd message flagging route suitability.
