Just got a 2015 Chausson 728EB. Lovely van, but a pity that the dealer does not seem to know what he had sold to us. Even described it as one owner when later we noticed that the log book lists two! Anyway, one of the 2 door handles on the garage will not 'spring' out. We had to get into the garage via underneath the rear bed, and dismantle the latch, to release it. Yes, we've got all the right keys, and have not forced it.

Possibly a Zadi lock, might need a new barrel, did you try pushing the door in to release it or giving it a bang? you could try lubricating it with some graphite/silicon spray, not WD40.👍

Hi rb62
Thanks. I'll try these ideas, but the lock handle is recessed flush into the door front meaning there is no access to moving parts.

Hi TG1903
Fit like! You've hit the nail on the head. I spent hours on the internet until I found motorhomefun. No one else understood my problem.
thanks. DoneSneddin.

Not impressed. No wonder his handle becomes tight if he uses WD40 to lubricate it (6:24 in). Firstly because it is a water dispersant, not a lubricant. And secondly because when you spray it on plastic, like he did, it can make the plastic swell. He should be using graphite or silicon spray.

We have 6 of those type of locks on our Hymer and not had any problem with them in the 6 years I have had it.
