Not used this search method before so not too sure if I’m doing it right.
Anyway, is there anyone out there who owns or has owned a Chausson 630? I am seriously considering buying a new one but know nothing about Chausson other that what I read on-line.
If you are able, can you comment on build quality, practicality, payload etc etc.
All useful comments gratefully received.
Thanks, John

As a Chausson owner (but an older model) I can just say I am more than happy with mine.
Sure they're not top of the range, plus I have only ever owned the one MH so can't compare it with any other brand.
However, it meets our needs and continues to deliver great service and on every level for us.
The fact we have owned it now for 10 years and have no intention of changing says a lot.
I appreciate in particular the excellent storage which takes all our gubbins, including a good sized boot. I am happy with the layout too.
Over the years most issues have been relatively minor, the worst mechanical one being a rear bearing that stalled our travels for about 5 days until it could be fixed. Other issues that spring to mind have been the aircon rad. needing replacement (in it's 10th year) and leaks around the heki that started in about it's 10th year and only finally got fixed (by me) when I removed and resealed it after discovering tiny hairline cracks that Captain Tolly sorted.
I did have to replace the fridge after trying everything to get a better operating temporture in mid-summer. Later on I discovered the factory fitted vents were too small so that was a build issue.
Passed every MOT 1st time so far.
A negative? It might be me or my driving but we only seem to get a couple of years out of the tyres? I have recently stopped buying the expensive camper type for that reason.
Payload is good. Though I have upweighted just in case (never weighed it so don't really know).
The only thing I would change is I find the bathroom a bit tight, and I'm not a giant either (SWMBO has no issues with it).

It continues to give us enormous value on every level and we hope it will carry on doing so. Hopefully you will find your perfect one too.

We have the 640.
Same van but king size bed rather than 2 singles.
Build quality = Average. Perhaps not Hymer standards but they are not Hymer prices.
Practicality = Very.
Payload = We upplated to 4000 kg. Just a paper exercise on the Ford chassis (which is a dream to drive compared to a Ducato.

I have a 630 welcome 2019 as I lost my c1 licence love the layout mine is for sale due to health 11700 miles

I have a (2019) 640 and love the layout. All makes have their Friday Afternoon, Monday Morning issues. We have the Ford Chassis and have had injector issues with it. It is a great ride and are very pleased with it overall. As for payload I don’t carry anything heavy and haven’t had it weighed. Maybe I should.
