Well mine was my fault really , got 510 early August and due to circumstances weather ,wife hospital apps etc have not run van out at all + new alarm fitted feeding off battery (only Milliamps) but all batts drop voltage even with nothing switched on so nearly 3 months I thought I was charging both batts when on 240v when in fact only charging hab then went out Monday and alarm went off apparently it will do that ( deafening) tested eng batt and only 9 volts & more warnings on dash than a jumbo jet wow!! Took batt out took 2 days to get it to 13.2 volts put it back & all is sweet again so keep eye on control panel re hab and eng batt levels or how many blobs someone called them ha
(Don't I rabbit on )

Just noticed your post.
We bought a new Chausson this year and I asked that I wanted the motor battery to charge at the same time as the leisure battery from the solar panel because normally they don't. The motor battery from ehu normally only charges the leisure unless you have it included we didn't. Probably a bit late reply.

All my previous vans had facility to charge either or both but on this new one eh no cant do that ,
Think we're going backwards @ times, anyway it's going in on Wed to have extra bit of charging kit fitted and to have my ceiling skylight looked at also (Remis) that's also faulty
Thanks for your reply, kind of you !

On our bestof10, which is very likely to be same wiring as 510 models, ours is Ford based. When 240v is plugged in, the default is to charge the engine battery. To ensure the leisure battery is charging from 240v you have to put the main switch on which is on the control panel.

My best of 510 is not like that I have just had the facility fitted £75 + I've fitted a voltmeter to actually read voltage instead of looking at the blobs on control panel that indicate volts, perhaps mine is different re it's a Fiat not a Ford

Hi Guys,
My first post, just to say I have 2014 510 on the Fiat base and the dealer did confirm that the panel over the door must be on for charging to operate from hook up and then only charging the habitation battery. I had a battery master fitted, a little black box which monitors both batteries. When the habitation
battery is full the engine battery receives the charge.
I monitor voltage on both batteries while on hook up at home and it works well.
Kind regards
Roger
