Well here we are on the med, always amazing how blue it is, got to a place called collioure, room for loads of vans , but took some finding , the coords took us into the centre of town(n) anyway asked a parking bloke , he hadn't a clue , so came out again put some different coords in off a Aires app, that took us to a dead end , in some houses, but as luck would have it couple who were visiting walked by and we asked the. And she had seen some mhs parked up , so followed her directions and eventually got here, 10 euros a night, with water and emptying thrown in plus a free bus into town every half hour, don't know how that works yet , will try it tomorrow (y):)

Been into Collioure on the minibus this morning and can't fault it. Picks up and drops off at the gate. Took a ride on the little train which was brilliant, through the mountains and vineyards to the castle at the top where it stopped 5mins for photo shoots, then back to Collioure via Port Vendres. Lovely lunch to top it off. Will be going in again in the morning, it's market day.

Spent some time in Collioure ! Brilliant little town! With view onto the castle from the beach! I had lots of fun fishing at night with husband and brother and sister in law there. We caught a HUGE fish in the port ! Next day it was lying in a big hole full of fuming charcoal on our pitch (tenting at that time), covered with onions tomatoes potatoes and olive oil! All the neighbours were watching ... and smelling!

We had a lovely meal the other night.
IMG_20160922_201955719.jpg

I decided to have cuttlefish, something I've never had before. Came in a sort of thick stew. Not what I was expecting but very tasty. Charlie had stuffed aubergine.
IMG_20160922_203116268.jpg

Main course, I had pigs cheek, he had veal in a wild mushroom sauce.

Followed by crème Catalan and lemon tart.
Bottle of house wine and two coffees.
How much do you reckon???

Must say that the buses run from the other end of the car park we were on and yesterday we took a half hour ride to Figures, Salvador Dali's birthplace. I went round the museum/gallery, while Charlie sat outside in a bar. It was brilliant, people tend to remember his surrealist stuff, but he was a very talented man!!

Havnt put anything up for a day or two as I felt it was getting boring, we done this, we done that, but the meal was 32 Euro's, excellent value.
We are now slowly driving back up, last night we happened upon a place just right on the border of the north, south devide of the Aires book called paray le monial , 19 in burgundy in the Aires book, free and loads of room for more than the stated 7 , 15 here last night, and still room, a lot nicer town than the write-up and according to the waiter in the restaurant last night , it is the original place where the sacre coeur happened and is visited from all over the world and is rammed in summer, you wouldn't think so though now though, empty.

Enjoy your trip north but you will need fleeces!!
Safe travels!!
