We have stayed on Aires exclusively for a month and the total fees have amounted to €19. There's a target for you to beat ( unfortunately, it would have been under €10, but we had to pay €9.90 at what was supposed to be a free aire on the med)

the more threads like this i read the more i am looking forward to our own trip to France in September. But lots of weekends in UK, or more exact, Scotland, for practice before that.

Have a great time. I should think Carcassone will be lovely at this time of the year.

Well after delays on the M1 and at the tunnel we've finally arrived and parked up at Gravelines. Will be off for a little stroll up to the PMU shortly just to make sure the wine and ale are still OK.

Glad you're not starving yourselves or sufferering a drought. This camping lark can be tough if you don't seek out suitable places for sustenance. :)

Had one for 5 years many moons ago. Now starting again.
Thankfully, just so I am not totally jealous the sky here is exactly the same colour and the forecast is good - at last.(y)
But I have to go to work.(n)
Enjoy your day.

Not a lot to report today , set off this morning, with Lurcy Levi's in the phone maps set to no tolls , well although a pleasant enough drive , we havnt got as far as we were hoping, now in a nice free aire in a place called briare number 145 in centre in the north Aires book, it's packed out with French,Julie cooked steak and chips in the van, and now planing tomorrow, think it will be tolls .:(

Yes last summer! We stayed on the aire outside , it looks like it used to be a municipal site! Great cycle ride into the town! There is a restaurent opposite the entrance we didn't try it but a funster says it was good.
