It seems to me that people do not appreciate that the tunnel is well below the sea bed, not by a few feet but by 75 metres (250feet) at least, following a strata of rock which goes between England and France, the French end being still well below the surface hence the large circular pond you see. The likelihood of getting seawater entering is so remote i doubt whether a nuclear explosion would breach it.
