I have purchased a 12 volt Cello internet tv with freeview play. Can anyone tell me if its possible to watch freeview via the aerial connection without being connected to the internet.
Thankyou.
Traveler.

You can watch Freeview TV through a digital aerial but need an internet connection to use Freeview play.

we have the same. But the sound was very poor we added a sound bar .
both work on 12 volts or 240 volts .

Yes you can get freeview via aeriel
Does your cello have a problem being casted to from your phone or tablet, to the built in chrome cast... mine does

Which sound bar have you bought please, our Cello sounds tinny.
We have the cello traveller and the sound is good but I like a sound bar as it has more bass. I just bought this one and plug it into the earphone adapter on the tv. Charges via usb and works brilliantly.

The sound bar we bought was from eBay.
it comes with a 240 supply that reduces it down to 12 volts.

but you can buy again from eBay a cigar socket plug to a 2.1 phono socket.
then it uses 12 volts only like the tv.

or join both the 12 volt cables together to use in a single socket .

this is the sort of 12 volt lead that is NOT supplied with the sound bar.

and this is the sound bar works on remote and the sound is fantastic.

Majority Bowfell Bluetooth Soundbar for TV and Computer | 50-WATT with powerful stereo sound | Multi-Connection :
with remote control.

can be bought at Amazon. or as I said on E bay.

because our tv will be hanging over the rail on the front overhead bunk we have made a bracket that fixes to the back of the t.v and holds the sound bar on a single unit.
we will be using a single 12 volt supply for both units.

image 2 shows the phono connection..

We've got a Ferguson 24" (a rebadged Cello) and use one of these.
It has an internal battery that lasts a few hours and recharges via a usb cable.
Alternatively, and as we do, we have it plugged in permanently when on 240v ehu.
We don't plug it into the TV usb as we use that for connection of an external hard disc drive but a 240v plug with usb output.
Not sure if TV output will be powerful enough to maintain full charge, as well.
It will, however, recharge from a 12v usb cigarette lighter socket adapter.
Very good sound from it and from a respected audio component manufacturer.

On our Cello we a Muvo 2c via speaker socket . recharge via usb socket excellent sound.
Also use with mobile phone for wifi music

That looks nice. I've just fitted the Ferguson 24" Smart also. Sound is absolutely dire, but I like the TV. Initially I used my little Bose Soundlink and plugged it into the audio jack. But wait, in my local Poundland I spotted a little wired soundbar called Panther for £6, plugged in the USB and audio leads, and it's not half bad!
I just use a mifi router and stream BBC, ITV, etc.. YouTube gives you all the entertainment you need!

Almost all flat screen TVs have terrible sound. It's pretty much the law of physics. You need decent physical volume for decent audio volume, especially at the bass end. Flat screens are just too thin to have decent effective drivers, even with bass reflex ports.
