Does anyone know if the 2A trickle charge to the engine battery is triggered by the connection of the mains or by the voltage in the 12V circuit? Or to put it another way will the trickle charge operate when a solar panel has got the leisure battery up to voltage or only when being mains charged?

If the CBE CSB2 is fitted in the system it needs to see 13.6 or 13.8 volts on the habitation before it charges the starter battery.

The voltage can come from 240v charger or fro solar.

The battery charger is connected to both within the distribution box db300.
Ps ive recently uploaded the manual for the battery charger

Does the trickle charging device built into the DS300 behave the same as the separate CSB2? I imagine it does and the 13.6/13.8V mentioned above is all that is needed.
