This afternoon we went to see Cats the movie. Apparently it’s had a real panning by the critics but we really enjoyed it.

We are used to seeing the cinema almost empty (The Light Cinema in Thetford) but this time the place was full, as far as I know we all enjoyed the film.

I did not see the van outside !

We long since decided that critics have little idea of what folk like
Look at the constant panning Water World got from them ( grossed $280m at box office, without royalties taken in to account )

I'm old enough to have seen the original theatre production. :)

We thought Bohemian Rhapsody was a great film too - critics didn’t like it!

No room for our van in the free car park next door, good job we only had our small car with us.

Don’t tell me you were in screen 2 for the 11.45 show?

I think critics have got too blase as they see too many and it's a chore!
I love going to the cinema for a movie, they are made with a big screen in mind.

Many years ago I got dragged to the cinema by a friend who had read the most glowing review of a Mongolian film called “ The Cave of the Yellow Dog.” The critic in the Telegraph I believe had waxed lyrical over it and said it was a must see. I have never witnessed such boring drivel in my life and fell asleep in the cinema. No story, awful scenery, the dog wasn’t even yellow. How we laugh about the wasted evening we had even unto this day. Critics are paid to get people to see poor films, good ones don’t need their help.
