Some time ago there was some one talking about using a Catalytic heater , when off grid to save the battery. I think I remember this person Plumbing in to his gas system. Catalytic seem VERY expensive or I am I missing something?

Are catalytic heaters ok for MH’s? I thought they had to be vented for indoor use or are there different types.

They need some ventilation to help prevent condensation.
A couple of windows cracked open or a roof light open should be enough.

The catalyst takes the nasties out of the burning process provided there is a good supply of fresh air. However like all gas appliances without a flue they dump vast amounts of moisture into the air.

When we moved into our present home we found a new “feature“ catalytic gas fire. We tried it out a few times. Within 30 minutes the air in the room is warm but the atmosphere dreadful, we both hate it and do not use it. I dread to think about the condensation problems it would cause. I have covered the enormous extra air vent that apparently the regulations require, on a windy day it would howl and flap the curtains.

I fitted one in the Miller and it was wonderful !!
