Thanks for the information.

Seems the food contains insufficient thiamin (Vit B1) a water soluble vitamin not stored in the body in cats do they need a constant source. If treated by a vet, given B1 injections over several weeks, they will recover. The deficiency causes lesions in parts of the brain which mainly heal after injections.
