Looking for some info around the sensors installed on Carthago MH. Presently long term camping with the Carthago MH. Due to non direct waste disposal, I have gone back to native ‘Tugged practice’ of a highly complicated , the ingenious waste disposal system, involving the requirement of a underslung water collection receptacle, ie a bucket.

In so carrying out such complicated procedure. I now have an electronic fail. In so far as the water level indicator on said discharge notice (the waste water tank indicator) now Just keeps showing 49-50 % full. This cannot be the case as the ‘auto empty ‘ manual over ride valve is switched open, ie fully open to bucket. So can anybody point said owner as to how said stupid electronic indicators are adapted to work at 100% sufficiently ie cleaned.

Tried cleaning long metal probes with sanitised material [ a bit of rag] bit it is still insisting I pay over priced main dealer the privilege of solving said problem.

Thoughts greatfuly appreciated

Unscrew the hatch cover and look in. It always works better than Carthagos technology.

I think it's more likely to be at the top where they go through the plate.

Why bother, you know its empty regardless of what the indicatir says. Even if you get it working again they are notoriously unreliable so you wont trust it. Mine just has a simple full warning and if it ever comes on its about to overflow so also useless.

I’ve always found that the sanitised material, ie. bit of manky rag, works a treat.
Just make sure there’s nothing crossing between the sensors.
Don’t know if that would make a difference but I suspect that a bit of grot hanging around the top of the sensors, where you can’t see it, might cause the problem.

I hose out our grey tank a couple of times a year and then reach in and clean the sensor rods. It’s a job I really look forward to.............not. :(

We’ve found our detector probes much more accurate since I washed the grey tank out with tank cleaner.
I reckon the sides of the tank get caked with grease so re coat the sensors as soon as you’ve wiped them clean
