Does anyone know if my 2018 built carthago A class on a fiat chassis would have the wiring pre installed behind the steering wheel for the phone and radio controls. I miss the nice leather steering wheel on my Rapido and would like to change the works van style one that carthago fit to a nice leather wheel with the radio and phone controls on it.
I do not want to fit a over cover on my existing wheel I would like to fit a genuine fiat leather wheel with the controls built in but would it be a simple plug and play or may the loom not have the plug fitted what's your thoughts

Cheers LB

Our Hymer Ayers Rock is a Fiat Ducato base and also has the basic steering wheel which I would like to replace with the Fiat OEM padded leather steering wheel with audio controls. There are two versions of the steering wheel with 5 buttons and 6 buttons and I'm not sure which one would be needed. I have done some research and it may not be a straightforward job. It might need a wiring harness in the steering wheel called a squib clock spring which presumably has to cope with the twisting of the steering wheel without wrapping the wires into knots and it might all be controlled by the CAN bus thing which might need special programming.

I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has any experience of upgrading the steering wheel on a Fiat Ducato.
