Giving the Compactline 138 a quick once over before the MOT and find that whilst every other light is working OK, both rear lights (LED) do not. No evidence of any chafing on a visual of visible wiring at the back of the van. I find it strange that both are defunct and presume it must be some wiring connection issue. The owners manual advises to pull up and out to release the rear light clusters. Not a chance and I don't want to apply too much force lest I end up breaking something. I'm flying a bit blind here so if anyone has any suggestions on where to start looking or how to get the light clusters off in one piece.

On my C-Tourer they definitely do pop out.
Get your fingers behind the inner edges of the cluster and you will see that there is movement. The outer edges will feel solid.
Prize it out on that side and you’ll see how the other side is clipped in. 5sec process honestly 👍
