Hi all I have a problem with my dometic 3 way fridge it's not getting constant 12volt power to work has anyone any idea where the fuse or relay is suitated it's on a fiat ducato chassis and camping is new to me

It does only work on 12 v when the engine is on you're not expecting it to work on 12 v while parked up are you?

As The Wino has pointed out 12v is only used for cooling when the engine is running , use 230v setting if on a site connected with EHU or gas setting at all other times when parked up (your 3 x way fridge may have an auto setting which will do this, if not , you need to change the fridge power source selection as required)

There are two 12V supplies to a 3-way type of fridge. The Low Current supply comes from the leisure battery, and powers the fridge control board, gas ignition etc. The High Current supply comes from the alternator/starter battery, and is normally only on when the engine is running.

The LC supply usually comes from a fuse on the distribution/fusebox. It is often on the same fuse as other permanently connected items like the heater control board, etc.

The HC supply often has its own fuse, either on a dedicated wire from the starter battery, or on the fusebox. Some MHs have a method of powering the HC supply from the leisure battery while stopped, but this can flatten a battery overnight so it must be used with care.

Which of the two supplies is having a problem?

My fridge is not working at all on 230 gas or 12v I tool front off fridge to test the board but not getting 12v feed so I'm thinking it can't work on any function unless the electronics are getting that 12v feed

Another thing I've noticed is I replaced my control panel and when I'm plugged into the 230v mains it is not lighting up to say I'm plugged in and it was on the old control panel I'm sorry to be asking all these questions but I'm new to motorhomes

Yes I think you're right about that. The LC supply (fridge control) is done differently for each brand of motorhome. If there's a distribution/fusebox, what make/model is it? They are bought in from specialist electrics manufacturers like CBE or Sargent, so may be used in other MHs.

Is the fridge manual selection, automatic selection, or both?

Fridge usually have external vents, and there will probably be a junction box where power comes in behind the lower external vent.Worth checking if the supplies (LC and HC) are reaching there OK.

If your Fiat Ducato is a X244 model and the starter battery is under the bonnet there may be a couple of relays and fuses near it , if so , one of them could linked to the fridge operation.
What model number Nordelectronica fuse box and control panel do you have.
