Thank you Jim, I have bought one from Tesco £19 battery and unit is guaranteed 7 years.

Gradually getting it all together to be safe. Also got some extra intruder alarms off Brians post (Hilldweller).

I have an alarm system but the windows are not covered. Next job LPG, one of those days I may actually use my van !
