If ever there was a programme designed to give caravan, campervan and motorhome owners a bad name, this is it.
Devised by the Caravan Club, or whatever they are called now, it is worth watching the Grand Final tomorrow just to see how bad they make us all look.
I have actually recorded it, thinking it might be a good watch, only to be appalled at how they make the whole community of us look like morons.

Well I have told SWMBO that she will be made to sit and watch it, just so that she can also be appalled.
Also, because I haven't seen this programme before, I have set it to record the final tomorrow so that I can be even more appalled.
In fact, it may even spoil my whole weekend with appallingness !

I think you have to be a bit strange to go on a programme like that.

Come to think of it, being a bit strange seems to be in the job description if you are going to be chairman of the Caravan Club

If there was ever a programme designed to deter you from using the organisers' facilities this has to be it ... there are enough weirdos in normal day to day life without going to a campsite to find them and paying for the privilege!

I had actually begun to think it was a spoof.

I recognised Teesside Caravans showroom in the first programme and was in there yesterday.
And yes, the one with his mother actually takes her there for visits and to get his caravan serviced.
I know because I asked.
We aren't all like that round here, honest Guv.
