I am planning to go to see if any dealer can be bothered to sell me a LHD camper van which judging from experience won't be a mean feat! They've got very little to sell to their German customers and exports sales will be at the bottom of their priority. On the plus side, the Hymer Group will be present unlike the last two years but the fair is a bit pointless with the current state of the market.
Having been the last two years, my advice to anyone thinking of going is to go for at least two or three days as you won't see a lot in a day.

That could be a mistake going, with what you’ve been saying lately you will come away with a dozen vans, then decide none of them are right .

Nope I didn’t, didnt know about it
The parking didn’t have an English setting I had to decipher that with a bit of help from Google!
I booked the tickets ok just the parking that was a pain! We roll into the camp on the 3rd, might see you

We are going but having bought a new MH a few weeks back it will be window shopping only.
Thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere of the show along with 100’s and 100’s of MH’s all squashed into the parking area.
A heads up for a first timer, make sure you have water and room in your waste/cassette the Service Area can be some considerable distance from where you Park and the wait can be a long time.

This post has prompted me to book, how many days would be suggested and is it better to go at the start or the end of the show or doesn't it matter. We are probably just going to look at stock to give us the best info to purchase from a British supplier.

Düsseldorf was not on our radar and not even being considered.
It's not on our planned route such as it is
It would also involve advanced booking which is not my thing.

Mr Porky, We try to avoid the weekend so arrive late Sunday till Departure on Thursday. We will cycle into Düsseldorf one of the days and do the show for 2 days. I think 2 days is the minimum.
