Hi
We recently bought a caravan and have sited it at brean sands.
My question is is it advisable to protect it with a full caravan cover. Also would it be better to leave
a skylight slightly open for ventilation
Regards
David

Hi, our neighbour had a new caravan, covered it last year, as stored with over hanging trees, this year's when unc overed, came across some Damp issues,it was still covered under warranty, so not an issue, but the technician asked the chap, do you cover your caravan? In which he said yes!
That is where, you have created your own issues, he strongly advised him not to cover it, this all depend on how new your caravan is I
Presume, just passing on his comments...good luck with whatever you decide (y)

If you are going to get a cover, buy a proper caravan cover - one which is breathable.
There are two companies local to me that advertise in the CAMC and C&CC magazines and I think offer club discounts.
They are ProTec covers and Specialist Covers.
Both offer made to measure covers.
I’m sure if you google them, you’ll get their details you add caravan cover to their name.
I bought one from one of them when I had a VW Baywindow camper van and kept it in storage and didn’t have any issues with it other than having to wash bird muck off the cover.
I wouldn’t leave a roof vent open personally.
