Caravan club vouchers offer 20% bonus

Sorry if anyone posted this already? a search revealed no mention.
Members can gain 20% in vouchers. Every £100 spent will yield £120 up to a maximum purchase of £2000 . Making nothing in the bank so we bought £1000 worth gaining £200 less £2.50 postage.

Clearly they are struggling for cash so a mutual benefit

We did the same but not only a £300 investment. Good deal in my opinion if you use CMC sites as there is no time limit on them.

Tui opened their books for 2021 we paid less for three weeks in Skiathos than we usually pay for 2 weeks, got to be worth a punt.

I was wondering about this sort of thing as we have vouchers from Qatari to rebook flights within a year. I have requested a refund. It got me thinking about travel insurance, there’s either going to be a hefty premium to cover COVID19 or it will be excluded perhaps. That could seriously curb our plans. I know it’s all speculation with no answers. So many variables like vaccines, treatments etc.

OK I just phoned to cancel. Lady had no idea until I mentioned this and she then found an email changing terms from the 29th onwards. If you bought like myself prior to this there will be no expiry date on the vouchers

a mean move in their part considering it is cash value, it’s not as though they are offering reduced site fees which are bound to increase year on year ?

will check mine carefully on arrival, bought 10 days ago ?

Any orders placed before 29 April will continue to have no expiry date.

The FAQ’s have been amended to state there is an expiry date. If any members contact us about this and had placed an order before today (29th April) will we will honour the no expiry date. The FAQ has a side note explaining this.

Good post and happy to pay upfront for future bookings and receive a 20% discount to help the club during these difficult times.

Don’t be concerned about the expiry date because the Club would never ever impose that date in the future for members who purchased future site bookings to help the club otherwise our next C&MC AGM will be one to watch.

The real danger is they may not be trading in a year and the voucher may be worthless. I have no idea of their assets and or debts, but it would concern me

We bought £100 worth when the offer first came out. Received them within three days.

We intend to by another £100 worth in the next few days. IMHO if Coronavirus is still a problem at the end of 2021 they will be obliged to extend the time period.

In any case if the “lockdown” is still in place at that time we are all “doomed. Doomed I tell you, doomed”.

If I remember right they were only posting out on certain days....like once a month maybe? Im in no rush to receive them ?
