More than toes wet now!
I see the Caravan Club has changed it's name.
Probably happened weeks ago as I'm up to my usual speed!:sleep::sleep:
Wonder if it's as a result of another acquisition by Jim following his MotorhomeFacts purchase?:whistle::whistle:

From the FAQ

What does this mean for motorhomers?
Our aim is to make sure we are always meeting the needs of all our members. We will also tailor specific offerings such as site facilities or training courses to suit different sections of our membership.

I suspect the next generation, or even this one, of explorers are more likely to be using P.V.C.'s, M.H.'s or R.V.'s than caravans - hence the morph of the name.

Are tents allowed on CC CAMC sites?

Looks like it was announced ( & the website updated) with the opening of the NEC Show today so you are pretty quick! (y) I spotted it on Facebook just now & thought it was a wind up at first!

Well ... I've now put in my entry for Motorhomer of the Year ... looking forward to seeing how much damage Mr Grenville Chamberlain can do when attempting to hill climb a borrowed motorhome as he pulled the arse of his caravan last year.

Just think of all the new tests they can think up for the series ... 1) See how fast you can get stuck on wet grass. 2) Grey waste emptying at speed while leaving the pitch. 3) ELH post pulling with hook-up lead still connected to moho .... there must be loads more ideas.:crying:

Me too.
Then I went on the CC website and saw it had changed to the C&MC.
It's about time they admitted that motorhomes really do exist and that they now make up a large proportion of their customers.
I note that when they open new or re-vamped sites they now include drive over waste grills. At last, no more scrambling about trying to lift off a manhole cover.
They might just be emerging into the 21st century.

Richard.

They sent me an e-mail about this morning - first I knew, don't know where the supposed consultation went. We do occasionally use a CC (CAMC) site but the pitching rules really annoy me - a motorhome has at least half the pitch wasted as there (generally) is not a car to be parked on the opposite side to the awning. Let's see how quickly they change this stupid rule.

Just watched the video feed of the announcement on Facebook.
Interesting point, 40% of all new members joining were motorhome owners.. That's a big number I guess..

CC was never any interest to me, all I ever read about was silly rules and a booking system that left empty pitches when people didn't turn up..
