Wondered if anyone would lend/rent me their car transporter trailer to carry my Toyota Yaris when we go away to Skye in May for a week? Ideally within 50 miles of Glasgow.

But seriously have you ran your request through your own thought processes?
A Total stranger wants you to lend him £1500 to £3k worth of equipment!!
The risks to the owner or ex owner depending on who you are is the obvious,
Insurance cover for something you don't own would be next to impossible,
Possible damage or theft whilst in your possession, risks to the lender if his trailer damaged your property and on and on it goes.
Proprietary Hire is the way to go as already advised above
