Every van we have had the oven has had a roof vent, the same one they use on Truma fires the cap screws on.Most cookers are vented internally

The picture looks very similar I will post picture tomorrow. If it is where do I buy a cap??
I expect the warden was trying to be helpful, especially if the top part is missing as it means rain can get in and rust out your cooker. Perhaps he is warning you there is a cover fitted by the previous owner to stop rain and snow blowing in during bad winter weather. It is essential to remove that kind of cover before using the oven as could, although unlikely, cause carbon monoxide poisoning.Tell the warden to keep his nose out.
Our ovens have always been TecTowers so on top of the fridge/freezer.seen and had them on the old fires / heaters but not noted any connected to cookers that we have had. you live and learn as they say.
Okay what are they called verbatim please
