Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has had issues trying to remove the coolant expansion tank cap from a Fiat Ducato? The cap does not appear to be jammed as it does move but will not rotate off.
Thanks in advance.

Since 2016, caravans before that, folding Caravan, tents before that
I thought this thread was going to be some sort of Yorkshire joke. Anyway, swallowing my disappointment I looked up the answer on the Fiat forum:

When you unscrew it you need to use firm pressure to get the lugs past the ridge on the neck. Some were suggesting using a pipe wrench, but I would not recommend that,

Try pushing it down as you turn it.
Thanks, I did and with quite some force. I also tried lifting and twisting, levering and squeezing but to no avail.

Hi thank you, yes it’s definitely the lug that’s the problem but I’ve tried to push it, lift and force it by hand and can see no way to do it. Maybe a plumbers wrench and some grease is the way.

If you can get to it easily poor some boiling water on the cap and use gloves to take it off. or judicious use of a hair dryer.
