The blowers in our cab stopped working. We have found that the motor has burnt out so we need a new motor. From Fiat dealer they re £250!!!
We have tried parts dealers but they are telling us that because it is a left hand drive we may need a different type.
Does anyone know of a supplier for the motor? and does it need to be different as we are left hand drive.
We have a Fiat Ducato 1994/95

Thanks

Afraid not, ours is a 1995. We did ask about one of the green fans but apparently they are not compatible.
Thanks for the reply though

if you get really stuck look for an auto-electrics company who re-wind motors.

we have at least one such company here in Scarborough...just a one man outfit in a backstreet lock-up but he is good and cheap....been trading for years and all the local garages use him for re-winding obsolete starter motors, alternators etc.

a hell of a lot cheaper than buying new.

just confirm if it is the first or second generation of ducato as i suppose some of the first generation were still un-registered in 1994.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Ducato

if it is in fact a second generation there will be loads in breakers yards up and down the country and i wouldn't think that being a left hander will make any difference.
