As geo said but be prepared for a bit of resistance from the sikaflex/mastic.

Just needs a little wiggle .

Two step Ladders maybe handy

Tried to remove mine at the weekend to replace the gearbox. As above, three plastic covers held by two screws, one in the cupboard above the oven, one above the fridge and another in the cupboard behind the wardrobe. Three M10 nuts on each front and rear and one nut on the middle one holding studs projecting through. A bit of a wiggle and should come free.
I had to stop when the wind came up and started to rain. Back on it next weekend.

Thanks guys. Things have moved on. We are on a site and wound the awning out yesterday but then the gearbox jammed and wouldn't wind back in. Fortunately after many phone calls we found a man who is in the area tomorrow so will pop in to fix it. With 50 mph winds tonight it could be a case of getting whats left off so we can get home again.

Good luck….hope it’s not as windy as forecast…..! 🤞

We survived the night, the wind was strong and the rain torrential but at 4 am I drained 10 gallons of water off the awning including 2 of then down my jammys and retightened the ropes. Trev the caravan man turned up about 11 o'clock and we managed to get it back into the closed position so it can be repaired at a later date.
I would like to give a great big shout out for AnT Mobile Caravan Services from Spalding, 07833251027. A great bloke to deal with, was a pleasure meeting him.
