    Which type? EF or EF-S?

    It depends which body you want to use them on. The EF ones ( usually the more expensive) will work on either, the EF-S ones are only for APS-C sensors so won't work on full frame models.

    Yes, I've just picked up an EF 35-70mm f3.5 - f4.5 for resale and it works OK on my Eos 7D. That's all at present though - they sell quickly. Not on eBay yet.

    I've got a Sigma 50-500 f4:6.3 sat doing nothing. It's bloody heavy and doesn't have IS so a monopod is essential
