People got two of those today by mistake, they weren't supposed to get any, I messed up on a new program I'm using, one wrong click. Bang , out it went no way to stop it. That was last night about midnight. I figured out what I'd done wrong. An easy, costly mistake to make. Too easy....I did it again this morning. :doh:

I've had a few hate mails and unsubscribes. But everyone makes mistakes now and again, its why they put rubbers on the end of pencils :D
 
@jim.why have people sent you hate mail and unsubscribed because you posted a photo of a beauttiful beach, giving us something to aspire to in the e-covid days?

Am I just being thick again?

Why the hell would you get hate mail and unsubscribes? We are better off without them.

The newsletter database is different to the forum, and we are not allowed to swap emails out to the mailing database click here and get added (y)

I was one of those who unsubscribed today, I have a shared email account and my wife doesn't really care for the website. While a weekly was fine a daily update was not required.
Some members of fun are clearly more addicted to the site than others maybe.

Subscribers  do not see these advertisements

 
Jim just a thought, might there be an option to receive updates still on a weekly basis rather than daily

I don't have that facility at the moment, it's all or nothing. That is why we are upgrading our software, hopefully, soon it will be a bit more user-friendly.

I had two this morning, I'm half way through Roberts Italian journey and enjoying it enormously. I'm taking notes for next year. I dipped into the beach article but I'm not really a beach enthusiast. Meanwhile, my wife, who has her own email account, enjoyed her daily dose of handbag and shoe articles. I can't imagine sharing email.

Errrrr, Most folk (surely to God?) have a little icon of a dustbin within their email prog .......... I use it quite a bit ! Don't need to keep the emails reminding me my prescription's ready or my blood test/dental/optician appt is tomorrow for posterity, I am also Ace at deleting the texts about the same things by now!
 
Why must all threads go down the same route, almost daily, where someone disagrees or goes against the grain, they must be publicly shamed, ridiculed, pulled up, dragged down, call it what you like, there is a pack mentality that seems to always rear its ugly head. Jim asked recently why people re-subscribed, well after two years of not subscribing I'm now asking the same god damn question. Jim the last three posts let alone the post that was deleted are just passive troublmaking hoping to see a bun fight, just ban me now and be done with it.
