Hi, have a small gas locker. A 11kg gaslow will fit but exit pipe will be higher than regulator fitting. Does this matter? 6kg cylinder will fit fine but hoping for larger bottle...thx..

Always install like below, if not any sludge that builds up in the pipes will clog up the regulator when you need it most. Many people go even further and fit The Truma in line filters either side of the regulator to help prevent the sludge problem.

Thank you guys, that has certainly forced the 6kg option...
Post a picture of your existing regulator it may well be possible to add an elbow or changeover head to raise the height .

So as long as the connection to the changeover valve is higher than the outlet, that’s fine?

Away for few days but have a couple inches to spare if I insert a connector to raise entry point. So as sueandrick says, as long a pipe runs uphill to raised extension, is that OK?

Alternatively you could fit a bottle top regulator.
Might be a possibility yes 👍
Not really used in the U.K. but are available 30mbar with built in over pressure protection .

This is my reg with top exit for pipe. have about 2 inches clearance to roof of cabinet so a little to play with. Need to do some measuring when back as not with van.. thx for suggestion..

This might be another option :

Excellent, and with a gauge... must I still have bottle outlet below gauge connection? Sorry to clarify this...

Yes ideally, this gauge is just being used as a nice neat tee really .

Good question.. thx. Is that an option by having a longer pipe?? If so, would it matter how long??..
Don't know if it's regarded as ideal but my regulator is only fractionally higher than my 10Kg Safefill so I loop the pigtail down from the cylinder and then up to the regulator. The height is OK for the 7.5Kg. A 750mm pigtail should give you enough scope for a bit of a loop.
