depends where you are, alltheaires book tells you where you can or can't but shouldn't be a lot of trouble

Most aires would be no problem but you will find a few that may be too tight but if so there is usually another one not far away so I would not worry about it.

No you'll be fine; especially so if you arrive before 3pm, arriving late/early evening at a popular aire in peak season can be a bit of a squeeze for any size motorhome. All other times I doubt you'll ever have a problem (y)

We are 8.5 metres so just under 28 foot.
Some you might have to overhang the lines a P1060971.jpg touch.

Others have loads of room P1060981.jpg

You will be OK though.

Thanks that's brilliant. How long did you go for?

Three trips of around three weeks as well as trips to Spain and Portugal although we used sites there.
"Destination Unknown" have travelled extensively using Aires in their 34' RV (y)

Also used aires extensively with a 36ft RV + Trailer..

as said you may not get onto every one.. but at 28ft you shouldn't have many problems..

we had a few that we couldn't get onto, generally because they were nearly full and manouvering would have been difficult.. .. but there is always another

IMO the best Aire book is the French publication "Aire De Service Camping Car" .. pick it up in France at a supermarket or book shop.. or order on line

They can be a bit tight, we did 2 months in 28ft MH with 10ft trailer. Just take a look around and pick your spot with exiting in mind. On the smaller ones if you are not careful you could get blocked in by someone (without them realising) and sods law they will have gone out for the day.

We had more problems with camp sites, especilly those with trees in every corner.

Has anyone with a big van found it a problem getting on Aries? I have been told it can be an issue.

"No Problem"....(y)

We are approx 29ft, and this French trip we have got every where we want in relation to "Aires"...

Stopped only at Aires with the exception of every five days a camp site for a night or two to catch up on the washing.. (Cloths & Bedding).. (y)
