I have a Hymer Exsis and never use the table which sits on a vertical round post. The socket at the bottom is screwed to the floor. When I try to unscrew it the screws simply twist round implying that there are bolts hidden under the floor.

So, my question. Will those screws come out easily or will the bottom of the camper fall off (just kidding)?

I presume you have a double floor so it won't leave any opening to the outside world although you may wish to plug the hole left after the bolts have been removed - would suggest a simple wooden dowel and Epoxy adhesive or Gorilla glue

A picture would be useful. Used to have a table that fitted into a circular socket in the floor,if yours is the same a mushroom shaped piece was available for when the table was not required

Living the dream.
I’ve taken our massive table out(part of another double bed). It has left six holes in the floor which I have covered with a loose rug. If you seal them up perminantly you won’t be able to replace it at sale time which could devalue it to a perspective buyer.

Getting better
Make sure that the bolts are not holding something else underneath, thinking of the Fools and horses gag with the chandeliers.
But I guess you won’t have any chandeliers under your van, although it being a Hymer who can be sure?.

We had a 2015 Exsis and I took out the table, just take out bolts and then you need to get a wide chisel to lever it up as ours was stuck to the floor if you do it carefully you won’t damage the floor I then bought some brown plastic stoppers for the four holes.
It makes a great difference to space available and beware the leg is quite heavy.(y)(y)(y)(y)

Exsis don’t have double floors, just ducting around tanks so they can be heated.(y)(y)
